This project involved the production of an oversized beer glass model designed to reproduce the appearance of a real glass of beer, including the transparent glass body, golden liquid and white foam at the top.
Why Use Transparent Resin?
One of the most important requirements for this type of display prop is transparency.
Unlike an opaque fiberglass sculpture, the product needs to create the visual impression of liquid inside a transparent glass. Transparent resin makes it possible to reproduce this effect while allowing the entire display piece to be manufactured at a much larger scale.
The resin can also be tinted to achieve different transparent colors, making it suitable for recreating beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, cosmetic liquids and other translucent products.
Reproducing the Appearance of a Real Drink
Producing a convincing oversized drink model requires more than simply making a transparent shape.
The proportions of the glass, transparency of the material, liquid color, surface clarity and internal visual effects all influence the final appearance.
For this project, the transparent resin was carefully colored to create the characteristic golden appearance of beer, while the upper section was finished to reproduce the visual effect of foam.
The result is a large-scale display prop that retains the recognizable appearance of the original beverage while providing significantly greater visual impact.
